Question 6: What have you learned about new technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Photography: With the introduction of widely available digital cameras, many photos can be taken at once during a photoshoot and even displayed to examine whilst doing the shoot in order to pick out the best images and remove any unsatisfactory ones. This advancement has allowed photographers to take the best pictures and limit poorly taken photos. However a few decades ago, before the invention of the digital camera and the sole reliance was on film cameras, photographers couldn't examine any of the images until the shoot was finished and they had been through the process of development at which point it would be too late to alter and therefore requiring another shoot. much more care had to implicated into the photoshoot since photographers had to snap the best shots without being able to review their images and thus meaning more time would be spent by the photographer making sure the focus was exceptional and the shot was perfect. Since the universal introduction of the digital camera, time consumption for a regular shoot has severely decreased and the use of the digital camera allows the images to be in much higher quality resulting in a sharper image.

Adobe Photoshop CS6: The use of Photoshop allows much in ease in particularly altering images that are considered bad or off and turn them into another suitable image. The ease of being able to edit the photos taken in a shoot and turning them into professionally taken photos. With the knowledge of Photoshop I now understand the editing process images go under in other media products in order to look professional and how certain features of an image are manipulated to give different effects. With the use of Photoshop I have edited several images using different techniques. one technique on Photoshop I used was a simple cut out onto a different background, where I removed the main part of the image from its original background and placed it onto a separate custom background and I have even used it to create an entirely different effect on the image through the alteration of brightness and saturation.

Adobe InDesign: The use of this software allows me to create magazines easily in the sense of a computerised desktop with fluent alterations and practice space. The software easily allows the aid of creating professional looking magazines. The software allows ease in exporting the finished documents into different forms of media and even to other software's. The software allows instant upload to the internet and this instance Blogger for display and accept feedback from peers creating similar works.

Internet and Blogger: With the use of Blogger I have developed my use of a blog for academic reasons and also Blogger allows ease in posting research and planning which is time saving as well as cutting down on resources. With the use oif the Internet it has allowed me to produce well informed pieces of work and also to conduct efficient research. With the Internet I have been introduced to several different multi-media programmes including: Canva, Youtube and Prezi.

To conclude, the use of digital technology and computers allow work production with extreme ease and at professional standards. From completing this work I have improved my IT skills in the specific fields that have been very evident in this coursework and have grown to appreciate that digital media requires a very different set of skills to different media. From this it could be argued that anyone is capable of producing professional standard work so long as they the proficient equipment available to them.
